My online learning

The world of online learning is changing very fast, and I put a high priority on my own professional development and on networking with professionals who keep me in touch with the latest developments in the world of learning and development. I do this because I enjoy it, but it also means I can pass on the benefits to my clients.

Walking the talk

I find the best way to understand what it’s like to learn online is to do it myself. For me, lifelong learning is a way of working, not a slogan. This helps me to understand the challenges that my learners might encounter in courses that I design and also means I can share current ideas and trends with those I work with. Most of the professional development listed below was carried out online. I do also attend conferences and face to face workshops but online learning is my preference.

Recent professional development

I use PebblePad as a personal learning space where I can plan, reflect and keep track of my short and long term goals.  In 2010 I was awarded Certified Membership of the Association for Learning Technology (CMALT).
